Siemens S60 Boom Gate Skid for Mobile Traffic Control
The RPS S60 12m boom gate skid is a mobile traffic control solution designed to support approximately up to 60 Watts of continuous power draw with an effective redundancy of up to six (6) days on batteries alone. The skids are designed to handle the harsh Australian environment and are generally maintenance-free. Our clients typically utilise this skid for traffic control for light and heavy vehicles into quarries, mining, industrial and construction sites.
This solution utilises one (1) high-efficiency 400 Watt solar panel that is rotatable to any orientation. This means that that the skid can be deployed adjacent to the road and still receive optimal sunlight. The solution also utilised One (1) Siemens S60 boom gate, which can be remotely triggered by a vehicle-mounted switch or handheld remote control. The S60 boom gate trailer features a sealed waterproof battery box that houses the batteries and control panel. The S60 boom gate solution is a rugged boom gate with proven results outdoor, commonly used on railway lines; they are proven to last in any situation.
The boom gate is designed with a radio receiver so that it can be signalled by an approaching vehicle. Also, an ultrasonic sensor that senses a passing vehicle underneath the boom and holds the bosom up until the vehicle passes.
