RPS enables functional monitoring and control capability to any piece of equipment / machinery that you decide to integrate into the platform. Our PCB has been specifically designed to be able to plug in any device irrespective of the connectivity protocol. We can enable a wide variety of control and automation option from basic timers (on – off) to complex algorithm driven functionality reading off multiple data inputs.
In basic terms Automation consists of three elements:
- Measurement – sensors take measurements and send readings to the control module.
- Control – the brains of the process. For RPS, this is our “HUM”. It decides which action to take and then sends those instructions to actuators. For process automation actions these are based on information from multiple sources of data. Hierarchical decision tress can be facilitated in making automated decisions.
- Actuators – There are numerous for E.G. valve, piston, pump, rotor or any other mechanically engineered piece of equipment that performs an action.
Our team of engineers and technicians have multidisciplinary expertise across, mechanical, mechatronic, electronics and communications. This allows us to create automation and dynamic control of equipment that will reduce downtime, increase productivity, lower costs, and improve effective use of resources.
Our team can design and engineer the physical hardware to enable automated actuatation. We then create all required electrical circuits to initiate equipment function and collect required data. We do recommend considering a detailed monitoring and control design phase prior to creating more complex equipment automation.
The last step is to then program the control function through the correct algorithm to ensure that automation is based on a preplanned hierarchy of data inputs. Our simplified design methodology enables for quick deployment at low cost.
With all automation options the RPS Platform allows for manual intervention whenever your operations require changes to equipment management. This is done through our simple user interface where delegated users in your business can change the automation parameters. The real benefit of RPS is that all control functionality is made available through a mobile device meaning you don’t have to be on location.
